Added to this, now that I have discovered I am HSP and am learning about it, I feel freer to take my extrovert mask off more often, and be the introvert I really am. What I mean is - I am at conference at the moment, and I have spent all my free time away from conference people - I haven't done any of the dinners with them, opting to dine alone and rest instead.

You not only get stressed out by environmental things like bright lights, bustling activity, and loud noises, but you also have a shorter “battery” for socializing and being around people in general. Extroverted children jump right into life and like to stay active with a variety of activities. They tend to be doers first, and later reflect on what they experienced, said, and heard. Extroverts can be shy.
